Fishing at Warwick County Park

Youth Trout Rodeo - Saturday, May 12

Ages 3 - 15 may participate in the East/West Vincent Police Officers’ Associations and the Coventryville Trout Club’s fishing rodeo. The Club stocks hundreds of fish along a 1/4 mile stretch of the French Creek. Volunteers will be on hand to assist kids who do not have fishing experience. All participants are eligible for various prizes. No adult fishing is permitted during this time. Registration begins at 8 AM. Fishing Rodeo is 9 AM - 1 PM at Warwick Park.

Have one child who likes to fish and one who doesn’t? Park staff will have activities available to entertain the non-fishing kids. Enjoy a scavenger hunt, rock painting and other activities.

Warwick Park features an ADA accessible fishing deck along the French Creek. Two miles of this pristine waterway meander through the park averaging 15-20" wide and 18-24" deep. Classified as a cold water fishery, the French Creek hosts both cold water and warm water species.

Annually, the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission stocks Rainbow and Brown Trout. The public, particularly children, are encouraged to help deliver the fish to the fishery. Anglers may also hook a few warm water species such as Smallmouth Bass, Rock Bass, Sunfish and an occasional Pickerel.

Anglers may also hook a few warm water species that inhabit the stream, such as Smallmouth Bass, Rock Bass, Sunfish and an occasional Pickerel.
