Mission Statement 

The mission of the Assessment Office is to provide real property valuation, tax roll certification and data distribution services to Chester County property owners, taxing authorities and other customers who rely on property data to carry out their business activities.

Assessment News

Homestead/Farmstead Exclusion Enrollment
December 15th through the first business day in March.

Annual Assessment Appeal Filing 
Pursuant to PA assessment law, the filing deadline for all annual assessment appeals, including exemption appeals is May 1st through the first business day in August.

Common Level Ratio 
The Tax Equalization Division has officially set the Chester County Common Level Ratio (CLR) at 53%. The CLR will be effective for all annual appeals heard by the Board of Assessment Appeals during 2017 (Board decisions will be effective for real estate tax bills issued in 2018) and any interim appeals with an effective date of 7/1/2017 through 6/30/2018.

Clean and Green Program Enrollment
The Act 319 filing is March 1st through the first business day in June.
