Judge Griffith was born in Wilke-Barre, PA., and obtained his B.A. degree from Lehigh University in 1970 and his J.D. degree from the Dickinson School of Law in 1973. Upon graduation from law school, he joined the law firm of Duane, Morris and Heckscher, where he concentrated his practice in complex civil litigation for thirty years.
Judge Griffith was elected to the Court of Common Pleas in November, 2003 and took the oath of office in January, 2004.
For many years, Judge Griffith has been actively involved with numerous committees of the Chester County Bar Association. He is also a member of the John E. Stively, Jr., Inn of Court.
Judge Griffith resides in Upper Uwchlan Township. He has one adult son, Stewart.
