Field Services / EMS

The Field Services Division supports responder organizations with a variety of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) activities and testing opportunities. The division provides staff support for the Chester County Commissioners acting in their role as the Regional EMS Authority under Acts 45 and 82.

The Division is responsible for coordinating State licensure of Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Air (Helicopter) ambulance services, providing technical support to EMS providers, administration of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification examinations, providing system quality assurance including tracking of responder performance, and collection and entry of data from state mandated call reports. They also provide the State Department of Health with accurate data on system operation.
