Chester County Election Board Schedules Challenge Hearing for Provisional Ballots

A hearing for the Chester County Election Board to consider all challenges to provisional ballots cast in the November 3, 2020 General Election will be held on Monday, November 16, 2020, beginning at 9:00 a.m. 

 The hearing will be held in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room, 6th Floor, 313 W. Market Street, West Chester, PA.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance by anyone not directly involved in the hearing has been arranged virtually through a livestream on Chester County Government’s Facebook page.  

Individuals whose provisional ballots have been challenged may be contacted by Chester County Voter Services staff by telephone or email in anticipation of the hearing. 

Chester County received 4,035 provisional ballots that were cast at polling places on Election Day, November 3rd.  Election officials have been conducting a review of every provisional ballot with appointed members of the Republican and Democratic parties to determine the number of challenged provisional ballots.   

The hearing will be recorded and subsequently posted on the Chester County Government website,
